Happy the Home When God Is There

Hap-py the home when God is there, And love fills ev-'ry breast,
When one their wish and one their prayer And one their heave'nly rest.

Hap-py the home where Je-sus' name Is sweet to ev-'ry ear
When children ear-ly list His fame And par-ents hold Him dear.

Hap-py the home where prayer is heard And praise is want to rise,
Where par-ents love the sa-cred Word And all its wis-dom prize.

Lord, let us in our homes a-gree This bless-ed peace to gain,
U-nite our hearts in love to thee And love to all will reign.

Henry Ware, the younger, 1794-1843
John B. Dykes, 1823-1876

EXCEPT the LORD build the house,
they labour in vain that build it...
Psalm 127:1a

Built within from the heart...
a heart of faith that trust God...

Built within from the heart...
in obedience to HIS WORD...

Built within from the heart...
in a daily walk according to HIS will...

Built within from the heart...
with thanksgiving and praise...

Built within...of LOVE for CHRIST
and the witness of HIS GRACE.

Then HAPPY the HOME
when GOD... IS THERE.

What beautiful words! Words we could pattern our lives after. I grieve to see children growing up in homes where parents care little for spiritual truth."Where par-ents love the sa-cred Word And all its wis-dom prize." Thank you for taking time to encourage us, Hope!

I miss it, but haven't really had the time for writing on it with school. I've missed reading your blog as well...so sorry I've been out of touch. I hope you've been well!
