WELCOME HOME SOLDIER!

THIS IS THE DAY.....I am sooo very THANKFUL for the safe return of my son-in-law from his deployment to the war zone.

He was missed so greatly by his family (stationed overseas)...BECAUSE he is one GREAT DAD and HUSBAND. He loves his family supremely and has soo much FUN with them..that to be without his presence makes a day...Well...just not the same.

He is quite a character...He likes to call me EDITH...if you are my age..you understand!! But in return I can call him MEAT-HEAD..since he has the same NAME as Edith's son-in-law! Such fun we have with him. I totally surprised him the first time he called me "Edith"...when I said.."why sure you can have a coke ...Meat head!" I'll never forget the look on his face!

My daughter has done an outstanding job with the children, while he was gone. They traveled together...they were involved in sports...girl scouts - she a den mother too..church youth camp...Missionary Conference Camp...birthday parties...hiking...

But, most of all the DEVOTION of a Spiritually minded Mom. Making sure they are in church...active in home Bible Study...and active in church service.

I know their DAD is going to be well pleased..to know they held the fort!!

What a joy it is to know that our children's families are watched by our LORD. So far from us. Our PRAYERS ...MUST..cover them. They do.

If you have a Military person in your family...GOD BLESS THEM for their tiring..unwavering...bold...sacrifices for us. For OUR FREEDOM.

Along with Hymns...Patriotic songs...bring tears to my eyes.

It's THAT SACRIFICE. We know the LOVE it takes. We know the COURAGE it takes.

FREEDOM is not cheap. IT IS..bought with a price.

The LORD JESUS was that PERFECT example of LOVE and SACRIFICE.

He DIED...for YOU...and ME. To give us LIBERTY and FREEDOM to live a life in PEACE and ASSURANCE.

But, God commendeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sin.
But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever,
sat down on the right hand of God.
For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
Hebrews 10:10-14

I thank the LORD for our Soldiers coming home. Their sacrifices...touch our hearts for the time of their lives given to keep us FREE and SAFE.

How much more...the sacrifice of our Blessed Lord Jesus...keeping us FREE ...FOREVER!!

No matter what comes upon us.....HEAVEN is our HOME...FREEDOM is ours to keep...and PEACE is ours FOREVER MORE.

God Bless America...and GOD BLESS our SOLDIERS!

HOPE

We wanted to thank you for the comment you left on our blog. We also saw the picture of Gus - he is adorable.

Our family also agrees with you that schnauzers are the best!

Have a good weekend.

Hello Hope, I've been away from blogging awhile, but have started back recently. So glad to here of your SIL's return. I don't think we all realize just what our military families go through for the rest of us. They make such huge sacrifices, having to go on w/ their daily, while their husbands and sometimes wives are off, overseas. I applaud your daughter and her husband! What a testimony of her life, to make her husband's heart secure, knowing that she is taking care of things just until he can be back home. Must give him such a relief not to have to worry, what a brave lady she is! (what a brave family, I might add!)
